GangBuster Comic Book
Comments 0 | Recommend 0To tackle teen violence, police in Boynton Beach are taking an unconventional approach and using a superhero as a way to educate kids about the dangers of joining a gang. Police hope a comic book will open some kid’s eyes before it's too late. Comic Book artist Captain Dick Kulpa is lending his drawing talent to send out a message to kids. He created the Gangbuster comic book 20 years ago in Illinois, after a boy threw a rock through his window as a gang initiation. On Saturday police will be handing comic books out for free from about 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sara Sims Park. They're also going to pass them out at local schools.
